Why Choose Our Chiropractic Office?

Matheson Chiropractic-Chiropractic and Wellness Doctor

Have you ever wondered how to choose the right doctor for you and your family? Perhaps you like the location, hours, or close parking. But what is the most important criteria? Do you feel it should be the degree to which the doctor’s style fits your needs? Do you want a Doctor that simply tells you what’s wrong and then offers a solution that can only help you if you frequent their office? Do you want someone to tell you that what you’ve been doing so far is ineffective and you will probably suffer and die young if you don’t commit to a lengthy treatment plan?

We respect patients and feel they deserve to know as much as possible about their condition; what caused it, what is making it worse, and what helps to heal the problem. Varying strategies for reducing pain and preventing a relapse are recommended that are logical and easy to follow. A sense of responsibility should be encouraged so a patient can see how their actions affect their outcome.

Patients may need to come in for treatments several times in the beginning to get started on correcting the problem, but soon they should be learning exercises or stretches that can help them feel better at home and at work. We want people to understand that what and how they do things are important, just like becoming confident in their ability to make the necessary lifestyle changes.

We spend over thirty minutes the first day completing a thorough history/consultation to determine specifically what the problem is, how it came to be, general health background, and what has been tried so far. From there, we do a complete physical examination to see what tissues are injured, which tissues are restricted, and what can be done to help. After the first consultation and examination we usually do a gentle first adjustment to get started on the correction as soon as possible. We won’t begin treatment on the first visit if the condition is serious and requires referral to a medical specialist or further evaluation such as x-rays.

Potential patients should check with friends and relatives who have had Chiropractic experiences in their area. Failing that, they can check online reviews such as https://www.ratemds.com/doctor-ratings/96376/Dr-Kevin-Matheson-Orillia-ON.html or for anyone who is still unsure, call our office for a two-minute conversation with the doctor to see if our services and philosophy feels like a good fit.

We would honour the opportunity to meet you, or your friends, and loved ones to discuss your/their situation. If we don’t think we can help you, we would be happy to refer you to a professional who can. That’s a promise!
